An examination of the effects of tracking weight for the Audio Technica VM670SP mono (78) moving magnet cartridge. A weight lower than the recommended 5 grams reduced the likelihood of the cartridge scraping on the disc surface.

Having disassembled and cleaned most of the mechanical parts of the EIKI NT projector it was time to put it back together. Here are some general pieces of advice with which I began that process.
The EIKI NT machine needed a more thorough overhaul, so that was the process which I now began. The first step was to disassemble the projector into its component parts for inspection and cleaning.
Having attended to the malfunctioning speaker and the broken supply and take-up arm belts, more little problems started to make themselves apparent on the EIKI NT projector.
The supply arm spool was not taking up the film as it should when the projector is put into reverse. New supply and take-up belts were needed.
The EIKI NT which I had purchased on eBay had ceased to play any sound through the forward-pointing speaker that’s mounted in the rear cover. A replacement speaker was found and fitted.
An EIKI NT projector purchased in 2010 developed had worked well, but this year a series of small faults required attention.
