The Epidavros Summer Theatre presented Lysistrata by Aristophanes at the Fairfield Amphitheatre on the banks of the Yarra in March 1983. The production at the open-air venue was adapted and directed by Gary Down.

Denzil played the part of the magistrate, a role which enabled him to utilise his skills in comedy.

He is seen here (at lower left) with other members of the cast including: Suzanne Dudley, Fiona Spence, Shane Bourne, Janet Andrewartha, Marilyn Rodgers, Michael Joshua and David Ashton.
